What is Green Ball 12 and under Tennis? 12 and under tennis follows the same logic as other youth sports. Green 12 and under tennis balls bounce lower, don't move as fast and are easier to hit. By playing this format, player benefits are immediate, with longer rallies playing real tennis, having fun and that is what's important.
The Yellow Ball Tournament Circuit uses a regulation ball on a 78 foot court. This format allows juniors the opportunity to improve their hitting skills in a round robin tournament format. This circuit is designed for players of all abilities, ages 12 and up.
Format of playing both the "Green Ball" and "Yellow Ball" Tournament Circuits includes a total of 6-10 games (per match), no-add scoring in a round robin format. Participants are guaranteed at least 3 matches.
The 2015 Green Ball/Yellow Ball Jr. Tournament Circuit provides an excellent opportunity for competition and Jr. development, as well as a transition into USTA NorCal Junior Tournaments.
