The Tennis Centre at Copper River features 15 LED lighted courts and a member lounge for relaxing with fellow players. We have 13 hard courts and two clay courts for players who want to try something new or who want the French Open style playing experience.

Copper River Country club is a member of the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA), the national governing body for the sport of tennis. The beautiful center court is unrivaled in the valley for spectator's enjoyment and is a frequent venue for NorCal USTA and NorCal USTA Junior tournaments.

The Copper River tennis staff offers a full schedule of clinics and private instruction for the entire family. Our professional staff is dedicated to providing instruction and excellent service to our members and their guests. We have an extensive program of classes available for Junior tennis players (up to age 19). Private lessons are available for adults and junior players. Red, Orange, Green Ball Tennis

Dates and Pricing:

January 3rd - June 2nd
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 3:30-4:30pm


Wednesday 2:30-3:30pm
$25 per day or $85 for full week


Ages: 4 - 11 years old

Same day cancelations will be charged full daily amount ($25)

Program Details:

Students will learn basics of the forehand, backhand, volley and serve fundamentals. Along with basic footwork techniques and scoring. Our program will offer step by step progression to learning the sport of tennis.

Staff:

Sadhaf Pucher has 18 years of experience developing junior, collegiate and pro tennis players. She has been either a head or assistant coach at The Ohio State University, University of Nebraska, Princeton University, Drake University and Southern Utah University. All nationally ranked collegiate programs.

Steve Loop, former Fresno State assistant men’s tennis coach, will also be running our 559 Tennis kids’ program. He has spent the last six seasons at Fresno State, as an assistant coach on the men’s tennis staff. Prior to Fresno State, he was the men’s tennis head coach at Fresno City College.

Andy Vang, former Fresno Pacific women’s tennis assistant will be leading our junior program. Vang was also, an assistant men’s tennis coach at American River College. He is currently hosting UTR junior tennis tournaments around Fresno.

Tati Ruiz, will be assisting this holiday season. She currently is the Fresno Pacific women’s tennis coach.

Kids Clinic

Dates and Pricing:

January 3rd - June 3rd

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 4:30-6:30pm
Wednesday & Friday 3:30-5:30pm

Member Pricing - $150 a week ($30 a day drop in)
Same day cancelations will be charged $30

Program Details:

The program is offered to four unique levels:

Elite: – College or high-level junior tournament players
Tuesday (4:30pm) & Friday (3:30pm)
Sunday (12-2pm) by invite only.

Level A: – High school (Varsity or JV)
Level B: – Junior High School
Level C: – Beginners (ages 12-17) | Monday/Wednesday/Friday only

Weekly schedule will be as follows:

Monday – Drill Day (Technical, footwork, & physical drills)

Tuesday – 2 on 1 competitive drills, singles strategy & mental toughness day

Wednesday – Serves, returns, volley’s & transition game drill day

Thursday – Singles and doubles point construction drills, along with College Gameday Singles & Doubles Day.

Friday – Singles UTR matches

Meet the Pros:

Copper River Country Club Head Pro Sadhaf Pucher has over 18 years of experience developing junior, collegiate, and pro tennis players. She has coached at The Ohio State University, University of Nebraska, Princeton University, Drake University and Southern Utah University, where she guided programs and individuals to national rankings.

Steve Loop is former Fresno State assistant men’s tennis coach, will run our 559 High Performance Tennis program. He has spent the last six seasons at Fresno State, as an assistant coach on the men’s tennis staff. Prior to Fresno State, Loop was the men’s tennis head coach at Fresno City College.
